Third Rock Consultants
Third Rock Consultants
Third Rock Consultants was established in 2000 by Molly Foree Cummins, a licensed environmental attorney with a strong background in environmental planning and design. Third Rock was designed to be different, and therein lies our strength. What we do and how we do it, matters. Our services include ecological surveys and analyses; stream and wetland restoration design and construction; environmental planning (including 401/404 permitting, NEPA documentation, and feasibility studies); MS4 program management and permit monitoring; erosion protection and sediment control planning and inspection; and aquatic taxonomy.
Third Rock is home to a collaborative of women and men with diverse environmental specialties and backgrounds, but uniquely similar work ethic, priorities, and approach to life. Our staff includes ecologists, professional engineers, professional geologists, environmental planners, construction inspectors, technical writers, GIS analysts, and AutoCAD technicians. At Third Rock, traits like integrity, authenticity, creativity, and common sense are encouraged and rewarded. Relationships and loyalty matter.
We hold current certification as a disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE), small business (SB) and woman-owned business (WBE) by various federal, state and local agencies and maintain DOT consultant prequalification in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio and North Carolina. Our clients range from federal, state and local agencies including the US Army Corps of Engineers and Environmental Protection Agency, to large and small consulting engineering firms, commercial and industrial entities, attorneys, and natural resource and environmental advocacy groups across the Southeastern United States.
