Environmental Site Assessment
Third Rock's professional geologists and environmental engineers conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) in accordance with the "Standards and Practices for All Appropriate Inquiries" (40 CFR Part 312) and ASTM E-1527-13. Third Rock senior staff members qualify as “Environmental Professionals,” with more than 30 years of experience assessing commercial, industrial, and governmental properties, are OSHA HAZWOPER-certified, and are experienced using US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sampling protocols and analytical methods to ensure the highest quality of data.
Third Rock provides a complete package of ESA services. Should a Phase I ESA recommend Phase II investigation, Third Rock's staff has the training and experience to conduct the sampling and testing necessary to evaluate the presence of an environmental condition. Upon review and analysis of the Phase II findings, should Phase III remediation be required to address contamination identified, Third Rock staff would work closely with the client to identify the appropriate remediation options that complement the proposed future use and development plan for the property.
Remediation can often be accomplished in concert with redevelopment, decreasing the time and expense required to return the site to a productive use. For complex sites, several different remediation techniques may be employed to reach the required clean-up or management goals. Remediation options can range from the conventional methods, such as source removal, to methods using risk assessment and engineered controls. Third Rock's remediation team identify effective remediation technologies and assist with the selection of clean-up criteria that will meet regulatory requirements.
